Vibration generating drive for ore dressing machine - produces elliptical vibration without gears or rubber springs

The sieve housing of an ore dressing machine has a sieve mounted on springs on a base and delivers the ore in the upward direction. Two out-of-balance masses rotate at the same speed but in opposite directions and the directions of the out-of-balance of each mass is so arranged that they generate vibration along a line perpendicular to the line joining the centres of rotation of the masses. A third out-of-balance mass generates a circular vibration which when combined with the linear vibration due to the first masses, produces an elliptical vibration of the sieve.
