Sample extractor for material transported in piping - removes the sample through an opening in the lower side of the piping

The inlets of two pipes together with a common pivoted closure flan lie to the outlet side of a closure for the sample extraction opening in the floor of the transport piping. The flap swivels about an axis located at the junction between the converging pipes so that in one position it opens the pipe for receiving the sample and in a second position closes this pipe and opens the other line. Two superimposed slides are provided for closing the opening in the floor of the piping and each provides a passageway such that in the closed position the one slide seals off the opening in the other slide. The slides are moved by a toothed wheel which engages with a toothed rack on an extension to one slide.
