Flashing circuit for travelling direction indicator has a central constantly connected timing device. The flashing circuit actuated by thi timing device is connected by the direction indicator switch. A control relay in the circuit switches the central timing device to a higher frequency when one flashing light fails. The central timing device can produce two different pulse frequencies of equal period and equal pulse time and pause time. However, the contact ensures that two pulses are produced witin a whole pulse time while contact produces only one such pulse. The increased frequenc is hence a definite indication of the fault situation.
