Dust remover for hot cupola waste gases has conventional features: tube type coolers for the hot gases and for deposition of coarse dust; water-sprayed radial fans, to accelerate and pre-wet the gas still contg. fine dust; venturi pipe for further wetting all dust particles with water or steam; and a centrifugal separator to separate the dirty gas into dirty water and clean gas. Preferably a heat exchanger is connected to the cooler, to receive the heat of the cooling water; the appts, mounted on the cupola furnace is independent, is temp. and acid-resistant.
