Petrol filling station or automatic car park, has a vehicle control and data processor facility as in 2214642 which involves vehicle data store, display and reader. The processer consists of a check data input, vehicle data carrier and reader all forming part of the control or monitor device. The data carrier for the vehicle forms par of this and can be coupled to the data reader. The system can be used to check vehicle data (fuel consumption, distance travelled etc.) against check data as reference material, as required for access to private car parks or garages. The vehicle data can similarly be stored for subsequent interrogation by the reader which in turn provides these data for checking in the control device.
