Alloy is composed of either Cu, Ag or Al contg. a fine dispersion of a superconducting cpd. A3B (where A is Nb or V, and B is Sn,Si,Ga,Al or Ge so that the distance between the particles is such that the tunnel effect is avoided). The alloy is prepd. from a powder mixt. contg. a fraction composed of an alloy of the base metal with A and a fraction of an alloy of the base metal with B. The mist. is compacted, shaped, and heated so that a fine dispersion of the superconducting cpd. is obtd. by diffusion.
