Sheet metal forwarder for multiple press tool - advances sheet with fingers during downward and upward motions of stamp

Sheet metal forwarder for a shaping machine with a press stamp has 2 reciprocable first thrust rods in which are mounted respective advancer fingers that can engage the sheet, and are displaceably mounted on a first guide extending lengthwise of the sheet direction of motion. A motion transmitter is connected to the press stamp and to the two rods, to permit the first rod to reciprocate in dependence on vertical motions of the stamp, enabling the first finger to grip the sheet and move it through the shaper when the stamp moves downward and to permit the second rod to reciprocate oppositely and simultaneously to the first. The second finger grips the sheet and moves it through the shaper in the given direction when the stamp moves upward.
