Rotary doffer in automatic doffing apparatus - esp. for use in open end spinning machines

The rotary doffer incorporates first and second full package receiving and transporting plates. The first plate demounts a full package from the bobbin holder of a spinning unit and receivers this package, the second plate receivers the demounted package from the first plate and transports it to a predetermined position. Both these plates are associated with respective cams, each operating to impart quick pivotal motions to the plates so that they perform their functions sequentially according to a predetermined programme. The apparatus is capable of completing a doffing operation in the very quick short time it takes to pass between respective units. Particularly useful with open and spinning machines.
