The glider has a fuselage provided with hinges in which the main spars are pivoted. The fabric of the wing is so restrained by the tension of the elastic cord fitted to the trailing edge that it bulges upwards to the cambered form necessary for stable flight. The cord is attached to the hook and the ends of the cord are provided with grips. The torsion spring maintains the spars in the extended position during flight. In order to launch the glider the wings are folded to lie parallel to the fuselage and the grips are bound together by several turns of the free end of the cord.
