Torsionally elastic damping coupling - has separate dampers coupled between points on primary and secondary portions

The coupling comprises primary and secondary portions, one coupled to the driving and the other to the driven machine, while dampers act in both directions between them, being particularly for counteracting torsional vibration. On both primary and secondary portions there are pairs of coupling joints on a common centre line running tangential to the coupling axis. These accommodate the outer ends of dampers devices each forming a separate unit and absorbing both tension and compression loads. The primary portion can consists of a flanged ring with lugs extending radially inwards, and the secondary one of a hub with external arms, the coupling points in them being equidistant from the coupling axis.
