Demonstration equipment for radiation pressure - uses electromagnetic radiation and a series of suspended structures capable of rotation

The demonstration equipment is particularly designed for use in schools to show the forces exerted by the radiation emerging from a propulsion nozzle. An electromagnetic emitter is, for example, mechanically supported with the aid of a counterweight of a torsion balance with the axis. A rotational-symmetrical field is formed from an oscillatory circuit which is discontinuous capacitively at the point of smallest current by means of a flange double ring so that both parts can rotate frictionlessly relative to one another. The nozzle discharge operates on the rocket principle.
