Rectangular-cross-sectioned chimney cladding - with shaped sections embracing corners and double-grooved for panel coverings

The object is to provide a reliable and easily applied cladding which affords effective sealing between the sheeting round the roof cutout and the chimney passing through here, secure in spite of temperature variations and resistant to the corrosive effects of flue gases, while being easily installed where access is difficult. A profiled piece is fitted to each of the outside corners of the chimney, griping the edge, and containing two grooves parallel to the edge, one for each of the wall surfaces involved. Panel-type covering elements for cladding these wall surfaces are accommodated in the grooves. The profiled pieces are pref. made of sheet metal, and there may be spacers between their corner-bracing parts and the groove, perforated for a clamping element.
