Hobbing slotting machine for machining workpieces with toothed- and tooth-like profiles using a cutting tool, especially a cutting wheel, where the cutting tool is brought into engagement with the workpiece to be machined and set into a roller motion where it simultaneously executes an operating stroke movement necessary for the chip removal. The cutting tool is simultaneously in engagement with at least two workpieces which are so arranged that the cutting forces appearing during the operating stroke movement cancel each other out in the radial direction.
