Grinding machine with slide type table - has two workpiece accepting plates in slide on table engaging with racks

Slide-type table grinding machine in which the grinding tool is guided on columns vertically arranged on the grinding machine columns and is fed to the workpiece. Two plates which each serve to accept a workpiece are supported in two longitudinal slides on the table which are connected by means of a pre-stressed coil spring. The plates also engage via pinions with toothed rods fixed to the table. A pick-up fixed to the table is fitted to each slide and on the pick ups, the slides lie in the output position at the same distance from the grinding tool under the action of a coil spring. Between the slides in their path is a stop fixed to the grinding machine column and in the output position, the slides are equidistant from the stop.
