Filtering dusty air in mines - with fan filtering air through vibrated mats cleaning by water

Equipment for extracting dusty air especially from transfer stations of underground and surface conveyors in mines includes a suction fan with an air suction speed below 5m/sec. The extracted air is filtered by one or more mats which are kept clean by flushing with atomised water. The cleaning of the mats is improved by a vibrator with a screen to which the mats are attached and which is pneumatically activated. The vibrator is positioned approximately half way along the system.
