The engine has at least two rotors rotating at the same speed and in the same direction and, in conjunction with the housing mantle, forming working chambers of varying volume, their contours being associated such that the distances between their centres of curvature remain constant. The contours which are in mutual engagement are, in cross section, shaped as regular or irregular curved triangles, regular curved quadrangles, regular or irregular curved pentagons or shapes equidistant to regular or irregular curved polygons, the number of arcs of constant curvature being equal to that of a curved triangle or quadrangle.
