Engine propeller drive for twin boom aircraft - has twin contrarotating propellers angled one to the other

A twin propellor motor unit for twin boom aircraft has an engine driving a pair of contra rotating twin bladed propellors and shafts set at an angle to one another. The tail boom carries a twin rudder system and the propellor angle is so related that the slip stream from the propellor partially strikes both side boom and rudder. The angle of the drive shafts can be chosen so that the propellor blades actually intermsh. The propellors are powered from the same drive shaft, and each propellor which is a double bladed type, rotated to be 90 deg. out of synchronism with the other. The drive can be transmitted through a level gear arrangement.
