The directional microwave antenna has a radiating element at the focus of a parabolic reflector and produces a sector-shaped radiation pattern. The radiator consists of a circular radiating surface of roughly the same phase. The circle is formed by a metallic coaxial radiator which has concentric circular apertures inside the end of the coaxial tube. The apertures lie in different but parallel planes extending back into the tube end, and all have different radii so that on outward-expanding funnel-like path is formed for transmitting the electromagnetic waves.
