The front axle suspension is provided with a conventional U-shaped stabiliser whose arms are provided with a pivoted connecting rod in such a manner that in a neutral condition the connecting arm is practically parallel to the road. When the suspension spring is stretched as in negotiating an inner turn the stabiliser forms a right angle with the connecting bar, and when the suspension spring is compressed on the opposite side forms an acute angle. The stabiliser is basically softer than a conventional linear stabiliser, and allows a progressive spring action on an uneven surface.
