Radiation counter such as Geiger-Muller counter - counts duration of pulses generated by radiation detector

The counter has a detector which generates a current pulse when exposed to the radiation, and the duration of this current pulse is measured. The current pulse may be fed to an AND gate input whose other input receives pulses at given frequency from a pulse generator. The AND gate output frequency is divided by a frequency divider with a given division and the divider output is fed to a counter connected to an indicating circuit and to a decoding circuit whose input is connected to an alarm circuit.
