The sections fixing sleeper to rail in their ultimate positions, have a steel base-sheet with opening, resting on the sleeper and rail foot; together with a screw or nut with piece fitting over the opening on the base. The machine has a device for holding and discharging each section down a chute into a cavity designed for it. A device periodically moves the cavity into positions adjacent to the chute. Each part which holds and discharges the sections has a discharge piece with vibratory container. The device for moving the cavity consists of a rotating drum or disc periodically set in rotation around a particular section. The cavity has a centering pin with diameter smaller than that of the smallest opening in each section. The sections are transferred from the activities to their ultimate position on the railway track by a movable arm on the end of which is an electromagnetic device with at least two magnetisable parts on each side of the screw or nut.
