1487792 Machinery safety devices WIRKMASCHINENBAU KARL - MARX - STADT VEB 8 Jan 1975 [14 Jan 1974 23 Sept 1974] 761/75 Heading F2J [Also in Division D1] In a circular knitting machine (see Division D1) in which a length of fabric 35 taken down into a receptacle 1 is to be cut-off, two ring members 31, 32 are provided above the receptacle, of which the member 31 is fixed and pivotally supports the member 32 and both members carry strutting to prevent access to the receptacle to cut the fabric unless the member 32 is tilted upwardly. When this is done an inductive transmitter 33 operates a relay in the main circuit of the machine so that the machine cannot be operated while the member is in its raised position for cutting.
