Suppositories contg. trimethoprim and sulphamethoxazole - in two separate layers

The suppositories have each of the active ingredients together with =1 filler in separate layers, opt. with a separating layer of filler only. The pref. ratio trimethoprim. sulphamethoxazole is 1:5-2 esp 1:4-3. The active ingredients are known chemotherapeutic agents and have previously been provided together only in oral dosage forms which may cause gastric/intestinal distrubances. The present compsns. are well tolerated, provide a sustained effect and are esp. useful for young children.
