The wing (5) is pivoted on a rod (14) which passes through guides in the fuselage (1) to be attached at its other end to the undercarriage (2). A shock absorber (19) also attaches the wing (5) to the fuselage (1). Wires (21a) and (21b) which connect the wing to the undercarriage on either side of the fuselage are also connected by wires (22) to a control lever. When the aircraft is on the ground all its weight is supported by the undercarriage but on take-off the weight is transferred to the wing (5) and the tension in the wires (21a) and (21b) transmits it to the undercarriage. During flight the pilot can cause both wings to lift simultaneously or to flap in opposite directions as required for flight control.
