A folder to retain one or more newspapers or magazines so as to protect the hands or clothing from printer's ink, and which itself can carry advertisements or reading matter is made simply from a single sheet of e.g. paper, the method of folding ensuring that sufficient thicknesses are obtained to give a suitable strength and bulk to form pockets to hold the papers without requiring reinforcing pieces of cardboard etc., thus ensuring that the folder is cheap to produce. The sheet is folded vertically the horizontally, and portions are folded back to form triangles in a particular manner to give a suitable thickness.
