The extraction device is partic. for use with cesspool cleaners of the type in which water is used to extract and carry the material. The used sludgy water is recovered and the air-water mixture obtd. is re-injected into the material to be extracted. The injection and extraction head is built around a turbulence chamber; the air and water from the inlet pass to a distribution collar at the top of the head. Dilution nozzles are situated at the base of the head and are fed by conduits. Fixed, or movable, and interchangeable injection nozzles are fed by the conduits coming from the distribution collar. The lower part of the head may be horizontal or arranged at a slant. Greater depths can be reached with the new head and high-yields are obtd.
