Guide and positioning assembly for car wash - has guide shoes with inclined faces and wheel actuated control arm

The assembly has a guideway (6) for the vehicle wheels. The guideway is used in conjunction with twin shoes with inclined faces. Between them is a pivoted traverse on the guideway. The angular displacement of this by a front wheel completes the circuit indicating correct positioning and setting off the washing sequence. The guideway consists of two rails, fixed to the ground. The shoes are of grooved plate to grip the wheels. Correct stationing of the vehicle is signalled by a coloured light and washing commences a few seconds after money insertion. At the end of washing another coloured lamp signals this to the driver.
