The machine clears the way before the pruning operation proper. The machine is attached to a hedge-trimmer frame mounted on a tractor or other vehicle, and comprises 4 horizontal and 4 vertical knives integral with one another through the medium of flanges welded on to a hollow tube, which is itself integral with a drive shaft coupled to the adjustable concentric hedge-trimmer shafts. The couple is elastic. The track of the machine is adjustable to suit various types of plantation. The machine rotates in the opposite direction to the hedge-trimmer, this being achieved by simply inverting the drive belt.
