Automatic lubrication of chain drives - with oil mist lubrication triggered by trip relay action

An electrical relay is continuously tripped by the links of a chain drive so as to generate an actuation signal for a solenoid operated three way pneumatic valve operating at line pressure (approximately 6 atmospheres). The valve output drives an intensifier to pressurise the lubricant to 120 atmospheres. A number of lubricant ejector valves are fed from the intensifier and are synchronised with the trip relay actuation so as to emit a lubricant mist on the chain rollers. The lubricant ejectors are spring loaded spool valves with a built in non-return valve stage.
