Aircraft inflight radio-guidance simulator - is for use in association with ground radio electric landing system

The aircraft has an altimeter (9), a differential pressure anemometer, a speed indicator (10) and a compass. On board the aircraft there is a data display means defining an imaginary radio guidance reference trajectory. Display means show the initial position of the imaginary aircraft with respect to the reference trajectory and computer equipment is associated with the aircraft instruments and display means to work out the difference between the aircraft imaginary position and the reference trajectory. Distance error indicating means operate with the calculating means to provide the pilot with indications of the simulated radio guidance. A realistic simulation of operating conditions is obtained.
