The drive system has an electric motor that is designed to drive a wheel of a landing gear of the aircraft and to move the aircraft by driving another wheel with partial adhesion to the ground. The electric motor is a wheel hub motor. A generator is provided to generate an electric current to operate the electric motor. An independent claim is also included for an electrical power routing system for a taxiway area of an airfield.
