Injectable pharmaceutical compsn. comprising a suspension of trace elements in an oil, the trace elements being insoluble in aq. media, non-ionisable, and capable of being slowly liberated after i.m. or s.c. injection by inflammatory processes, prefd. trace elements being in the form of free metals or metallic oxides, in which the trace elements are as CuO,Zn, Mn, MnO2, Mn3O4. The compsn. is used in the treatment of trace element deficiency in animals.
