Guillotine type shutter has two vanes (112) actuated by a to and fro movement in slides (3, 4). One of the vanes is driven by crank arm system (8, 9) which is itself driven by the camera motor at the same time as the second vane is driven by the motor also by a crank arm system (6,7) whose arm is hinged at a hinge point actuated by a to and fro movement parallel to the slides. Its distance, with respect to these slides, is adjustable. Only the travel of the second vane can be modified, so that the distance between the vanes can be varied when they pass in front of the camera lens. The travel of this second vane may be modified during the to and fro movements, it no longer passes in front of the lens.
