The trailer is joined to the bicycle by a tie tod (3) and the automatic part consists of a connecting piece (4) which can swing down to touch the ground, about an axis (6) ahead of the trailer itself and is held in retaining clips. At the end of the connection brake shoes (8) are fitted. The connecting piece can be a rod bent in a loop (4a) joined by another piece (5) which can work with a spring clip (9) when the bicycle is moving. When the bicycle is parked, the connecting piece (4) is swung down, applying the trailer brakes.
