Dispensing system for cash from remote safe - has pneumatic tube conveyor between safe and dispensing point

An electronic switching unit at a dispensing point remote from the safe is energised by a code input by the user and transmits a control pulse to initiate the dispensing operation from the safe. The safe contains a number of cash containers which are moved by a drive system to the inlet end of a conveyor leading to the dispensing point. The drive and conveyor are synchronised for simultaneous operation on receiving the control pulse from the switching unit and are blocked after each dispensing operation. Selected cash amounts are pref. contained in cartridges which are conveyed pneumatically from safe to dispensing point, whereby the drive is a motor-driven belt made up of tubes for the cartridges which lock into the inlet end of a pipe leading to the dispensing point.
