The base of the linkage, connected to one side of the linkage, is a flat piece of sheet steel (1) with a lug (2) raised from it to form a stop. A second piece (4) is spot welded or rivetted to the base and holds the thermal rupturing bulb (6). A third piece of sheet steel (7) connected to the second side of the linkage is positioned between the bulb and the base and is trapped on the raised lug (2). When a rise in temperature ignites the bulb the two joined component (7) is freed. The bulb, as an alternative, can be electrically fired.
