Aid to learning to write letters of alphabet - comprises templates with symbol slit and positive directional guides

The aid, for use by children and others suffering from difficulties in comprehending how to write the alphabet, comprises a means of guiding a writing instrument along a set path so as to produce an exact copy of a letter. The means consists of a number of templates with interlocks each template having an outline of a letter in the form of a guide slit. Templates are placed in position on a base with a gap between formed by blocks screwed to the underside of the template. Paper is put between template and base and the user describes the indicated letter by moving a pencil around the outline. Small four-armed turnstiles which project into the path of the pencil at suitable points can be moved only in one direction. The aid can be adapted for use with many aural or visual devices.
