Hydrocarbon fuels contg. water or hydrogen peroxide - and a sulphonated fatty material

Modified hydrocarbon fuels contain (a) sulphonated fatty materials (mineral, vegetable or animal) and (b) H2O or H2O2. The fuels can contain up to 15% H2O or H2O2 and up to 15% sulphonate, opt. together with a protective lubricant. They can be prepd. by simple mixing. The incorporation of H2O or H2O2 in motor fuels allows savings to be made in gasoline consumption while increasing combustion efficiency (increased r.p.m. or m.p.g.), reducing CO emission, and giving good cold-start performance and smooth running, without requiring any modifications to fuel-supply system or engine design.
