Dental compsn. comprises a complex of Na and Ag salts which dissociates under ultraviolet irradiation, and also contains traces of cpds. of Au and Pt. Stable, effective compsn. for treating pyorrhoea and gingivitis. Preferred silver salt is AgCl; trace elements are AuCl or metallic Pt sponge; and Ni salts are a mixt. of NcAl and Na hyposulphite. Pref. compsns. cotain 40-60 parts w/w of NaCl, 4-6 parts w/w of Na hyposulphite, about 4 parts w/w of AgCl. Trace elements may be used, in amt. up to 4 parts w/w of AuCl and up to 2 parts w/w of Pt.
