Slightly water-sol. azo cpds. of formula (I): (where R1 is halogen or CN; R2 is alkyl opt. substd. by OH, alkoxy or phenyl, and contg. =2 C atoms when it is substd. by OH or alkoxy; or R2 is phenyl opt. substd. up to three times by halogen, Me or alkoxy; R3 is H, Cl, Br, CN, Me, alkoxy, or formylamino, or the -SO2-; R7 is alkyl opt. substd. by Cl, Br, OH, alkoxy, phenyl, phenoxy or CN, and contg. =2C atoms when -X-R7 is alkoxycarbonyl or alkylsulphonyl substd. by OH, alkoxy or phenoxy, or R7 is phenyl, R4 is H, Cl, Br, Me or alkoxy; R5 is alkenyl, or alkyl opt. substd. by Cl, Br, OH, alkoxy, phenyl, phenoxy, CN, formyloxy, alkylcarbonyloxy, alkoxycarbonyl(oxy), (di)alkylamino-carbonyl, (di)alkylaminocarbonyloxy, benzoyloxy or phenylaminocarbonyloxy; R6 is H or as R5; the alkyl and alkoxy gps. contain 1-4C atoms except where stated otherwise, and the alkenyl gps. contain 2-4C atoms), are yellow-red-disperse dyes for dyeing/printing completely or partially synthetic hydrophobic organic macromolecular matls., esp. linear polyesters, cellulose acetates and synthetic polyamides.
