1521095 Polyvinylidine fluoride moulding compositions DYNAMIT NOBEL AG 1 Sept 1975 [3 Sept 1974] 35978/75 Heading C3M Moulding compositions comprise (1) polyvinylidene fluoride and (2) 1-30% of a fluorocarbon elastomer having a reduced viscosity of 60-400 ml./g. in 0À5% acetone solution at 30‹ C. The elastomer may be a copolymer of vinylidene fluoride with hexafluoropropylene, or with hexafluoropropylene and/or pentafluoropropylene and tetrafluoroethylene. The compositions may also contain acid acceptors, e.g. calcium and magnesium oxides and hydroxides, and crosslinking agents, e.g. aliphatic and cycloaliphatic diamine derivatives such as hexamethylene diamine carbamate, 4,41-methylenebis-cyclo-hexylamine carbamate and dicinnamylidene-1,6-hexane diamine, or an aromatic dihydroxycompound such as bisphenol A, bisphenol AF, bisphenol S, p,p1-diphenol, 2,4-dihydroxy-benzophenone and phenolphthalein together with an accelerator such as an organic base.
