The arrangement comprises a main coupling (1) and an auxiliary, cable coupling (2) operable thereby, which auxiliary coupling can be swivelled in and out of engagement by means of links (12) and an actuating disc (8) carried on the main pin (3) of the main coupling, means (15) being provided to disengage the connection between main and auxiliary coupling. The disc (8) is a gear segment meshing with a second gear segment (9) which is rotatable on a shaft (10) parallel to the main pin. The links (12) are pivotably connected with this second segment or with a component (11) secured thereto. This component may be a swivel element which is secured to the second segment by a releasable connection.
