The pole shoe has means for the supply of filling material under pressure. At least in the lower and central portion of the shank four or more round bars (4,104) are mounted on opposite sides of the central web, parallel to each other and to the pile shank (2), and at a distance greater than half the length of the flanges (11) of the I-section shank. U-shaped steel shoes (15) can be used for mounting the bars, running parallel to the web and approximately one metre aprt, one flange of each shoe being secured to the edges of the I-section flanges.
