1484425 Pneumatic conveyers WAESCHLE MASCHINENFABRIK GmbH 26 Aug 1975 [27 Aug 1974] 35183/75 Heading B8A In a pneumatic conveyer having a feed station 1 and a conveying conduit 6 including a series of separators 5, 5a, 5b ... 5x associated with receivers 7, 7a, 7b ... 7x, conveying air is discharged only through the most downstream separator 7x and means are provided to sense when a predetermined level of material is reached in the separator 7x so as to halt conveying and initiate discharge from the separator 7x. As shown, the separator 7x includes an air nozzle 20 directed into a flared downstream end of the conduit 6 so that when material reaches the downstream end of the conduit, the pressure increase in the conduit is measured to cause air to flow and carry material back through the conduit 6 to the feed station 1. In a second embodiment (Fig. 4), the downstream end of the conduit 6 communicates with a separator (26) containing a level sensing device (29) and communicating with the feed station via a valve (28) which is opened when the separator (26) is full.
