1472367 Cellulosic unsaturated polyester compositions BAYER AG 6 Oct 1975 [9 Oct 1974 17 Oct 1974] 40805/75 Heading C3P A curable composition comprises (A) at least one ethylenically unsaturated polyester, (B) at least one olefinic comonomer for said polyester and (c) 5-30 wt. per cent based on the total weight of (A) to (C), of at least one ester of cellulose with an aliphatic monocarboxylic acid, which ester is free from oxidizing agents and has an OH number of 5-25. In an example a composition comprises (A) a propane-1,2-diol/ ethylene glycol/phthalic anhydride/maleic anhydride polyester, (B) styrene and (C) a cellulose acetate butyrate having an OH number of 15. This composition is converted into a moulding composition by the addition of an initiator, CaCO 3 filler, Mg thickener and zinc stearate mould lubricant.
