The cigarette holder is designed to enable a smoker to retain the ash of the cigarette during the whole time the cigarette is burning, so that it does not fall on the clothing of the user, particularly while driving a car, and has a front portion to hold the cigarette, connected to a mouthpiece portion, with a thin pointed rod held in the mouthpiece portion, passing through the front portion, and extending from it, long enough to pass right through the cigarette. A chamber is formed between the two portions, into which may be placed a filter insert. Holes for the smoke pass through this chamber, and each side of the rod, then write in the mouthpiece.
