The safety holder for a cigarette or cigar or cigarillo, to prevent glowing ash from falling, has a longitudinal hollow body (10) to hold it and the ash at its end. One end of the body is fitted with a holder (18) and an insulation sleeve (26) to take the mouthpiece end of the cigarette. The body is fitted with air openings as a tubular mesh (14), with stabilizers (20) between a closing ring (16) and the mouthpiece holder. A cover at the end can be opened to remove the ash.
