Tool carrier comprising block and holder - parallel strips between block and tool holder transmit reaction forces

Tool carrier, which consists of a block (1) which is fixed to a lathe support on the side of which is fixed a tool holder where between the block and the tool holder are parallel strips which transmit reaction forced from the tool holder to the block. The strips are cylinder shaped and engage in grooves of circular shaped profile of the block (1) and the tool holder. The stops have bevels which are parallel to the side walls of the block (1) and the strips are screwed to the block such that the axes of the screws pass centrally through the strip.
