The dual pump arrangement used for circulating liquid in a central heating system has a return pipe and an adjustable valve for regulating the connection between the inlet pipe and the outlet pipe. The liquid flow rate regulator is a single return flow pipe and a single valve and the whole system forms an integral unit. The circulating pumps are arranged on both sides of a vertical axis of symmetry. The central section between the two circulating pumps has a tubular section and the regulating valve handle. The common return flow pipe is a Y-shaped pipe arrangement whose axis of symmetry coincides with the system axis of symmetry. The selection of the flow rate and pressure characteristic curve in each of the two pumps is controlled by a simple regulating arrangement.
