Gas injection nozzle for pulsating burner - gas from jet holes impinges on sleeve mounted on gas supply tube

The pulsating burner for e.g. a water boiler has an outer tube (4) in which air is mixed with gas, the gas being supplied through a concentric tube (6) inside, terminating in a pointed nozzle (7), with jet holes (8) extending sideways. This nozzle is surrounded in turn by an intermediate sleeve (9) attached by arms (11) to a collar (10) on the gas tube, so that it can be axially adjusted by a screw (10a). The tip of the nozzle is set some distance back from the outlet end of the outer mixer tube (4) so that a swirling action can take place in the space ahead of the nozzle, initiated by the leading edge of the intermediate sleeve which interrupts the flow of gas as it leaves the jet holes (8).
